If you are considering filling in a gap left by a missing tooth, look no further than the do-it-all dental practice of Horwitz & Dorfman Art of Dentistry. We offer two options for replacing your pearly pals, so you can decide which method is better for you.

  • Fixed Bridges consist of an artificial tooth (or teeth) being constructed and fitted into the empty space. This permanent prosthesis is attached to the adjacent teeth, and made of porcelain to look like your natural teeth. These fixed bridges are extremely durable and can last for years. They may need to be re-cemented eventually, or replaced, due to regular wear.
    • Generally the implementation of a fixed bridge requires only two visits; one in which your anchor teeth are prepped and an impression taken in order to create the bridge, and a second visit at which  your bridge will be inserted, checked, adjusted and, in most cases, cemented. Depending upon your oral health the fixed bridge may be temporarily cemented to allow you to adjust, and fused more permanently at a follow-up visit.
  • Dental Implants are prosthetic teeth implanted in the empty gums and anchored by lag-screws or cement. Our dental implants, supplied by Nobel Biocare, are a satisfying alternative to dentures. With dental implants you are free to partake in all of your favorite foods, even corn on the cob and steak.
    • Dental implants have a high success rate (93-98%) and can last up to 15 years if cared for consistently.
