Our Virginia Beach dental practice is well-known for the professional and friendly staff. We would like you to meet Kristy Harkins, our featured dental hygienist of the month.
Hello, I am Kristy, and I have been working with Horwitz & Dorfman Art of Dentistry for almost 11 years. I graduated from Old Dominion University in 2002 with my bachelors in the science of dental hygiene. I was drawn to this career because I get to meet and build relationships with people while helping them keep their teeth and gums healthy. I enjoy working in this dental practice and I have made some awesome friends with many of my co-workers and patients.

Over the years, I have grown with the practice and I continue to learn from Dr Horwitz and the other dental hygienists who I work with. Longevity within the practice has allowed me to take a personal interest in my patient’s lives and to follow their treatment and results. I have great confidence in our office and the treatment procedures that we provide. This is why I continue to refer my friends and family to our office.

In keeping with the theme of Thanksgiving this month, I am very thankful that I work in such a fun and positive environment. I appreciate the people that I work with and I am thankful for the continued opportunity to meet new patients.
When I am not helping patients to keep their smiles bright, you may find me supporting my alma mater at the Old Dominion University football games or running in local 5K or 8K races. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and our 20 month old daughter, Lily.
